Once a credit facility has been configured in Maybern and the borrowing base has been defined, you may begin to process and track activity such as drawdowns, paydowns, and reallocations within the system.
Step-by-Step
To process a credit facility drawdown, navigate to the Fund Family
Click Credit Facility
If you would like to view your available borrowing base, select the Borrowing Base pop-out. You can view your borrowing base by Advance Rate Group, or by Investor Entity.
Note that this is based on the existing borrowing base configuration. The borrowing base can be modified by clicking Update Borrowing Base.
Under the Principal Transactions dropdown in the top right, select Drawdown. Within the pop-up window, select the due date and notice date for bank, and click Run Drawdown. Note that the due date must be after or the same as the notice date. You may add any notes related to the drawdown here (this is optional)
Select your use of funds, and click the dropdown to select your loan type. Note: to review the terms of the credit facility and each loan type, navigate to Fund Family β Credit Facility β Settings β Facility Detail or Loan Configuration
Although not required, you have the option to link a Drawdown for Investments to investments by making a selection from the Link to Investment dropdown. If it is a new investment, you must first create an investment in the Investments tab
Click the Enter amount field
The Auto Allocate function enables the system to equalize the drawdown amounts across all the Fund Entities that are part of the Fund Family. This function applies mostly to Fund Families that have parallel funds. If the Fund Family contains a single, standalone Fund Entity, the Auto Allocate function becomes less relevant. The allocation can be overridden by unchecking the Auto Allocate box and entering user defined amounts for each Fund Entity
After clicking Continue to Summary in the bottom right corner, you may review the drawdown details. Then, you may:
Leave the event as a draft by selecting Exit in the bottom right corner. The drawdown will automatically be saved as a draft and can be edited, completed, or deleted in the future
Delete the drawdown by clicking the three dots in the top right corner of the draft event page
Click Finalize Drawdown in the bottom right corner
